I had bought stands from 123thegemshop for my Megalodon teeth before, and was so thoroughly pleased with the seller’s work that I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. However, I had a conundrum. I wanted the scientific names of the sharks written on the name plaques instead of just Great White or Mako or the generic name of the extinct shark. So, I wrote an email to the proprietor of 123thegemshop and asked him if he would do some custom stands for me. To my pleasant surprise, he would: and did. He was so concerned with the attention to detail that he asked me how I wanted the words to be arranged on the plaque, whether or not I wanted them in all capitals or only the first letter of the first word capitalized; like how they do specimens in museums! His turnaround time for this special order was a blindingly fast three days! I now have ten beautiful stands with the full scientific names of each of my specimens on them. They look so beautiful on the solid oak stands!
